Did you hear about that sporting event going on?

So the Olympics are just bananas, and we have been going a little bananas with it. A few photos to talk about here...

When the torch came through Granville Island we were overcome by this need to chase it around, we surprised ourselves I think. So here is two of the photos that we managed to snap, once we had stopped yelling and waving our arms.

In this one the torch is framed nicely by New Leaf Editions and the Susan Point banner, notice the guy in grey suddenly overcome by Olympic spirit and also chasing after the torch. (Yep, that was us too)

This picture here is a bit where's waldo, just follow the outstretched arms holding cameras to find the torch. How did I get such a good view? well we had to get creative...

The Place De la Francophone 2010, or “French Quarter” for us non-frenchies is on Granville Island during the games, and oh what fun it is. There are all sorts of characters that walk by, many on stilts and in costume. Here are our favorites...

These dangling musicians have been parading every night down the street, usually they are accompanied by aliens but on two occasions they rose with the help of a crane, playing their instruments high into the air.

These two froggy friends came across our guard frog by the door. They tried to convince him to hop away with them, but we take good care of our frogs, enough that they want to stay with us.
They sadly croaked away.

Well that was an epic update! and the games are not even over yet! More to come.
